A man from Mobberley in Cheshire is seriously ill in a hospital in Thailand after a hit and run motorcycle accident.
A fundraising campaign has been launched to pay for hospital treatment of a man from Cheshire who’s been involved in a motorbike accident in Thailand.
23 year old Jake Tonkin was on the back of a bike when he was knocked off by a car – which threw him under an oncoming vehicle.
He’s got a bleed on the brain and a badly broken leg.
The appeal is now to fundraise £25,000 to help fund treatment, which his family say he desperately needs. They also insist he had insurance, but the firm isn’t paying out.
Mum Jane Tonkin says he’s suffering a lot, “He’s not drank properly since then and he just looks so ill. He looks awful and it’s just heartbreaking. He’s my youngest, you know the baby of the family and everyone’s just so distraught.
“It’s just heartbreaking for us as a family and I mean all we seem to have done is cry to be honest.
“There’s just been tears all the time and seeing him – he just looks so horrendous he just looks in so much pain.”
She also reacted to the recent news nationally, of a vegan parenting blogger from Blackpool who was six months pregnant, who died following a scooter accident in Thailand. The news of the death of Sophie Emma Rose was made public yesterday, Tuesday May 9 2017.
Jane said, “It’s so tragic about Sophie – that could have been Jacob. We have already lost one beautiful soul in a terrible road accident out there, please don’t let me lose my son too.”
