1600 – 1900 Sundays
Simon Is On
Every radio station needs a Blackers! Without Mark Blackman there’d be no show from me today. Not only was he busy with the screwdrivers out last night fixing all the stuff with the microwave that beams the shows we do from Moss Lane to the transmitter, but he also takes care of all of the techi stuff on my show. He’s doing the Sunday afternoon show for me next week while I take the weekend off, so there’s every chance I might bring him some rock back.
Keep listening for more details on the 6 weeks of Summer, and how you can help to raise all of that money for Marie Curie.
I’m given three hours to do pretty much whatever I want with every Sunday afternoon, so I’ll be sifting through Kiesha Spence’s bin looking for gossip and scandal to indiscreetly blurt out to all of Cheshire.
Very briefly, a little about me: I own a marketing and web design business, but before I set that up (11 years ago) I made my living from chatting away on the radio, tv and on commercials. Old habits die hard, and the first half hour of every day is spent reading commercials that get aired in all sorts of places. When Silk’s guv’nor asked if I fancied a show I jumped at the chance to work with a couple of old mates, ie Blackers and Phil Rodgers (who’s still strutting around with an unnecessary ‘d’ in his surname).
If you’d like a mention on my show or want to see some of the stuff I’ll be talking about in the show, there’s always my Facebook page.
