Cheshire Police is appealing for witnesses after two 12 year old girls were hit by a car in Middlewich.

It happened just before 5.30pm on Friday 3rd of February at the traffic lights on Lewin Street, near to the Church.

It’s believed a black Renault Clio was involved.

It’s also thought the car travelled through the lights on that road, when it was involved in the collision with the two 12 year olds.

Sergeant Andy Mannering said. “It is believed that there may have been two older people who witnessed the collision.

“We would like to speak to them to establish what took place. If you were there at the time and witnessed the collision but have yet to speak to police I’d urge you to please contact me on 101 quoting incident number 704 of 3 February 2017.

“Alternatively information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.
