A warm welcome back for our Stockport International Young Musicians Competition winner of 2021/2, Rachel Siu. Having heard her final-winning performance of the Dvorak cello concerto, we are all keen to hear her interpretation of the Elgar. Having completed her studies at the Julliard in New York, Rachel is now back in her home Australia from where she travels to be with us tonight.

And after the interval, a rare chance, but the second this season, to hear the mighty Stockport Town Hall Wurlitzer in action. Whether or not you caught it in October, its worth hearing again. The Saint Saens is full of hummable tunes you will take home with you but it may be the thundering of the Wurlizter you remember most as under the fingers of Richard Brocklehurst you feel as much as hear it.
