Drugs and weapons seized following police raid in Crewe

A man has been arrested by officers and a quantity of illegal drugs have been seized following a warrant in Crewe.

At around 12am on Thursday 2 March, officers conducted a drugs warrant at an address Billington Road, Crewe.

A man was found at an address, during a search of the property, officers discovered a large quantity of cannabis and drug paraphernalia as well as a number of weapons.

Following the warrant, the occupant, a 29-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs (Cannabis).

He has since been bailed pending further enquiries, due to return to Middlewich Custody on Wednesday 3 May.

Sergeant Steve Tandy of Crewe Local Policing Unit, said:

“This operation has led to the removal of a sizeable quantity of illegal drugs and weapons from the streets of Crewe.

“Actions such as these shows how we are continuing to take the fight to drug dealers within our local community and across wider Cheshire – doing all we can to disrupt criminals.

“I would urge anyone who spots the signs of this criminal activity to contact us on 101 or via our website. No report is too small or too trivial – each one provides us with vital intelligence that assists us in the fight against this crime type.”
