After a year away, the much-loved Alsager Music Festival is returning to Milton Park on Saturday 21st August 2021.
Since launching in 2009, the annual event has gone on to become one of the best festivals in Cheshire, offering a wide range of music and acts across multiple stages.
Just as in previous years at the family-friendly festival, there will be a wide selection of food and drink stalls available, as well as people being free to bring their own refreshments with them on the day.
The one big change is that due to COVID-19 restrictions and increased security costs, the 2021 festival will now be a fully ticketed event for the first time in its history. With social distancing measures needing to be in place, only a limited number of tickets will be made available to avoid over-crowding. As the festival is so popular amongst the local community, tickets are expected to sell out quickly.
Pete Weatherburn, Chairperson of the Alsager Music Festival said “As a volunteer-run festival we’ve always been so proud of making the festival free and accessible to all, but due to the restrictions the only way we could proceed with this year's festival was to make it a ticketed event. It was crucial to us to keep the ticket prices low as we know how important the festival is to so many people in Alsager and beyond. Hopefully AMF21 will give everyone a big lift after such a tough year.’’
The 2021 event will also be a poignant moment for many as the festival will honor and remember three important and popular figures in making AMF such a success in previous years - Gary George, Phil Goodall and Stath Kyrantonis. Stath, of course, will be fondly remembered as the man behind the main stage mixing desk as well as being the flamboyant bass player in AMF regulars, Sugar Rush.
Further information and announcements on the lineups and other attractions will be made closer to the event.
Tickets for the event will go on sale at 17.00 on Friday 21st May through www.skiddle.com and our website www.alsagermusicfestival.co.uk . Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for under 18s (babies free).
