Young patients at Macclesfield District General Hospital’s Children’s Ward will experience the magic of Christmas, thanks to the Macclesfield FC Community Sports Trust.
The Community Sports Trust have once again launched their festive fundraiser which aims to bring joy and festive cheer to youngsters in the ward.
Funds raised will be used to purchase gifts for the children, brightening their days and lifting their spirits during their hospital stay.
Lee Folkard, Head of Macclesfield FC Community Sports Trust said:
“It will be a pleasure again to support the Children’s Ward at Macclesfield Hospital this Christmas and will of course lean on our amazing fans and community to help and support with the purchasing of presents.
“Over the last three years, we have had tremendous success and support in this great community initiative, and we can’t wait to visit the ward again in December.”
In addition to the fundraising initiative, the Football Club and the Community Sports Trust have consistently brought festive cheer to the ward over the years with their annual Christmas visits, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, dropping off gifts to young patients.
Lily Preston, Fundraising and Events Manager at East Cheshire NHS Charity added:
“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from Macclesfield FC Community Sports Trust.
“Their fundraising efforts and annual visits bring so much joy to the children on the ward and we can’t thank them enough for their dedication and generosity.”
