Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Macclesfield.
At 09.20am on Saturday 14th February 2026, police received reports of a collision on A537 Cumberland Street, near to the roundabout at the junction with Chester Road.
The collision involved a grey Skoda Octavia and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 78-year-old man, was taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries to his leg and arm.
Constable Barnard from Cheshire Police’s Roads and Crime unit said:
“This collision has occurred on an arterial route through Macclesfield, and we are looking for anyone who witnessed the collision directly to contact us.
“The same goes for anyone who may have captured the incident on dashcam footage.”
