Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage following an attempted robbery in Winsford.
At around 5.20pm on Tuesday 24 September a 20-year-old man was walking along Dover Drive, near to the junction of Wingfield Place, when a black car pulled up at the side of the road.
One of the occupants, a man, then got out of the vehicle and threatened the victim before fleeing the scene empty handed.
Two people, a 59-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, have since been arrested in relation to the incident. The pair have both been released pending further enquiries.
DC Kev Reade, of Northwich CID said:
“Enquiries in relation to incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation we’re urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
“The same goes for anyone with any dashcam or video footage which may aid the investigation.”
