Detectives from Northwich are appealing for information following a car and key burglary in Goostrey.
The stolen vehicle belonged to a veterinarian and contained a small quantity of potentially dangerous drugs.
Sometime between 2.50am and 3.40am on Sunday 4 September an unknown man, broke into an address on Blackberry Gardens.
Once inside the man stole the keys to a blue Volkswagen Tiguan which was parked on the driveway.
The man then drove off in the car, travelling towards New Platt Lane.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing and officers are currently following a number of lines of enquiry, including CCTV and forensics.
As part of the investigation officers are now appealing for information from the public.
Police Constable Matt Uren, of the Western Proactive Unit said: “The investigation is ongoing and are doing all we can to trace the person responsible.
“The drugs that were in the vehicle are not designed for human consumption and it’s extremely important that we locate the drugs as soon as possible to ensure that nobody comes to harm.
“As part of enquires I am keen to speak to anyone with any information, no matter how small, which may assist our investigation.
“I would also urge anyone who believes they may have been offered any of the drugs to get in call us on 101.
“Alternatively, if you do not want to speak to officers, information can be reported anonymously, via Crimestoppers, 0800 555 111.”
