Officers from Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a fatal collision in Northwich.
At 3.25am on Monday 17 June, police were called to reports of a collision on Croxton Lane, Byley, Northwich.
Officers attended the scene and found the collision involved a black Lexmoto motorcycle and a telegraph pole.
The driver, a 54-year-old man from Northwich, was taken to Leighton Hospital for emergency treatment. Sadly, despite the best efforts of all those involved, he has since passed away.
His next of kin are aware and they are being supported by specialist officers.
Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and police are appealing to trace anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of the incident.
Sergeant Jon Dixon, of the Force's Roads and Crime Unit, said:
"As part of our ongoing investigation, it is vital we speak to any witnesses who may have seen the lead up to the collision or the collision itself.
"We also ask anyone who lives in the area or was using Croxton Lane at the time to check their CCTV or vehicle Dashcam for footage that may assist us.
"I urge anyone with any information – no matter how small – to get in touch.”
