Police in Winsford are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a fatal collision.
At around 3.55pm on Thursday 1st May, officers responded to reports of a road traffic collision on Swanlow Lane, Winsford.
The collision involved a grey Citroen Berlingo van and a black Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) also attended, but despite the best efforts of all involved, the rider of the motorcycle, a 52-year-old man from Hartford, sadly died at the scene.
The driver of the van, a 41-year-old man from Sandbach, sustained no injuries.
As officers work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, they would now like to appeal to anyone who has any information, dashcam or video footage to come forward.
Sergeant Andrew Dennison, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“Our officers are doing all they can to fully establish the circumstances surrounding this very sad incident and our thoughts remain with the family of the motorcyclist at what will be a very difficult time for them.
“The collision will have occurred at a busy time of day on a road that many use to travel to and from Winsford; so, we are certain that there will be a number of witnesses who saw it occur or captured it on dashcam.
“Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police via the website or on 101, quoting IML-2080820.”
