Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a fatal collision near Northwich.
At around 5.43pm on Wednesday 5 February, police were called to a collision at the junction of Chester Road and Dalefords Lane in Sandiway.
The caller reported that there had been a collision between a grey Hyundai I10 and a black BMW.
The driver of the BMW failed to stop and made off on Dalefords Lane, travelling towards Winsford.
A short time later, at around 5.45pm, police were called to reports of second collision on Dalefords Lane, near to Daleford Manor Caravan Park.
On arrival at the scene officers found that there had been a collision between a black BMW and a Renault Master panel van.
Sadly, the driver of the BMW, a 45-year-old man from Winsford, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The drivers of the Hyundai and the Renault both sustained injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.
Enquiries in relation to the incidents are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collisions or anyone who believes they have any dashcam footage of the incidents.
