Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following two burglaries in the Northwich area.
At around 3.35pm on Tuesday 14th April, police were called to reports of a break-in at an address on Runcorn Road, on the outskirts of Barnton.
Then, at 4.30pm the same day police were called to reports of a burglary at an address on The Avenue in Comberbach.
Both incidents are believed to have taken place during Tuesday afternoon, and on both occasions the offenders forced entry into the addresses and stole cash and jewellery.
Initial enquiries suggest that the incidents are linked and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information which may aid the investigation.
They would also like to hear from anyone who driving on Runcorn Road and the Avenue between 2pm and 4.30pm and may have any dashcam footage.
Police Constable Dean Butterworth, of Northwich Proactive CID, said:
“To know that somebody has targeted your home – a place you should feel safe in, is sickening, and we are committed to doing all we can to trace the people responsible.
“Enquiries in relation the incident are ongoing, and we’re keen to hear from anyone with any information or video footage which may aid our investigation.
“I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone with any footage of a small car, possibly grey or blue, which was reported to be parked outside the address on Runcorn Road, on the outskirts of Barnton, between 2.15pm and 3.45pm.”
Anyone with information or footage that may aid the ongoing investigation should visit the website or call 101, quoting IML-2308643.
