Officers are appealing for witnesses and information after two men were assaulted in Willaston.
At around 8.50pm on Saturday 18th March, officers were called to reports of an incident at a commercial property on Wistaton Road, Willaston.
Attending the scene officers found that a 62-year-old man and a 59-year-old man were assaulted by three unknown men, one of whom had a metal bar in their possession.
The men sustained facial and head injuries as a result of the attack.
An 18-year-old man has since been arrested and released under investigation.
Detective Constable Dominic Rogers of CID Reactive East said:
“This was a serious attack and our enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information which may aid our enquiries to come forward."
