Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a serious assault in Winnington.
At 7.20pm on Saturday 27 May, police were called to reports of an incident at the junction of Winnington Lane and Winnington Avenue, Northwich.
Officers were dispatched to the scene and on arrival they found that a 35-year-old local man had been assaulted.
The offender had made off from the scene in a dark coloured vehicle, travelling in the direction of Barnton.
Detectives are working hard to establish the person responsible and as part of the investigation they are keen to hear from anyone with any information.
Detective Constable Helen Harrison, of Northwich CID, said:
“This incident occurred at a busy junction, and I believe that there are likely to have been several people driving though the area at the time of the incident who may have seen the assault.
“I would urge anyone who believes that they may have witnessed the incident, or seen the offender fleeing the scene, to come forward.
“The same goes for anyone with any dashcam footage of the assault, or of the offender fleeing the scene in the dark coloured vehicle.”
Anyone with any information or video footage is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101, or at:
