Police are appealing for information following a serious collision at Lyme Park in Disley.
At around 1pm on Monday 4 December 2023 two pedestrians were involved in a collision with a shuttle bus near to the gate of the main house inside Lyme Park.
One of the pedestrians, a 71-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision, including a broken arm and a broken pelvis.
The second pedestrian, a 75-year-old man, sustained minor injuries.
The collision was reported to police on Tuesday 5 December and enquiries have been ongoing. As part of the investigation officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police Constable Chris Luke said:
“While I appreciate that this incident took place almost three months ago, Lyme Park is a popular tourist attraction and there are likely to have been several people in the area who may have witnesses the incident and I would urge them to come forward.
“The same goes for anyone who was on the shuttle bus at the time the collision occurred.
