Officers are appealing for information following a serious collision in Alderley Edge.
At around 3.30pm on Thursday 1 April police attended following reports of a collision involving a white Peugeot car and a wall on Davey Lane.
The driver of the vehicle, an 84-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Sadly, the man died a short time later.
His next of kin have been informed.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have any dashcam footage of the vehicles before the incident to come forward.
