Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted at a pub in Northwich town centre.
At around 12.10am on Saturday 11th October, police were called to reports of an altercation at the Quayside on Witton Street.
Officers attended the scene and found that a 36-year-old local man had been seriously assaulted in the bar area.
The victim was taken to Leighton Hospital with serious head injuries. His condition is currently described as stable.
The suspect was described a white man, aged 18 - 30, with short dark hair.
Enquiries in relation elation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation officer are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
Detective Sergeant Thomas Philpotts, of Western CID, said:
“The victim has suffered serious injuries, which are likely to have a lasting impact, and we are committed to doing all we can to achieve justice.
“The Quayside was extremely busy at the time of the incident, and I would urge anyone who was in the premises and witnessed the incident to come forward to aid our investigation."
