Officers searching for a missing man in Winsford have found a body.
The body was discovered in a wooded area near to Lily Lane, Byley at around 5.20pm on Wednesday 13 October.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but it is believed to be that of missing man Robert Godfrey.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
His death is not believed to be suspicious.
A case file will be prepared for the coroner.
