Launched at the start of lockdown back in April, knutsfordhighstreet.com - in partnership with Knutsford Town Council - has become the ‘go to’ for the residents of Knutsford during these challenging times.
It was only right to expand the website to include e-commerce functionality, where you can buy products from local businesses in one single checkout and delivery direct to your door.
The new upgraded website has a wide range of local shops who have uploaded products, from handmade jewellery to fine wines, there is something for everyone. Businesses are uploading new products every day so the range available will continue to grow and evolve. With Christmas around the corner, there is no better time to launch this valuable tool and encourage people to shop local.
There are also packages and themes for birthdays at home, fun nights in and many more. It will feature gift ideas for inspiration for what to buy that special person, or to just gift yourself! The social channels feature news, updates and inspiration – you can follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook
Janna Caley, owner of Boxed Red Marketing, said the innovative idea came to her when she found her family were unaware of the businesses which were staying open and still providing services at the start of the first lockdown.
Having grown up and lived most of her life in Knutsford, she wanted to use this information to help residents and businesses navigate these unfamiliar circumstances.
Sandra Curties, town centre and marketing officer for Knutsford Town Council, said: “Back in March, when lockdown commenced, it was great to see how the Knutsford community – both business and voluntary – came together. The website knutsfordhighstreet.com was set up in lightning speed by Boxed Red Marketing with the support of Knutsford Town Council. It is great to see it being developed further as an e-commerce site for WA16 businesses. Even without the global pandemic a website that allows consumers to order from multiple, local retailers and receive goods in one delivery is a vital additional route to market for businesses and shops operating in the 21st century. It has always been a pleasure to work with the Boxed Red team – they are based in the heart of Knutsford, live in Knutsford and therefore have its best interests at heart”.
