Detectives have issued a CCTV image of a man they are looking to speak to after a man was seriously assaulted in Knutsford town centre.
At around 1.20am on Saturday 8 February police were called to reports of an incident at the Cuckoo Bar on Princess Street.
Officers attended and found that the victim had been punch in the face and knocked unconscious during an unprovoked attack.
The victim, a 31-year-old man from Sheffield, sustained head injuries as a result of the incident and was taken to Aintree Hospital where he is currently recovering from his injuries.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they are looking to speak to.
Detective Sergeant Thomas Binder, of Macclesfield CID, said:
“Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and we are committed to doing all we can to identify the person responsible.
“As part of our investigation, we are keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images as we believe he may hold important information.
