On hearing the news, Cllr David Brown, who chairs Congleton In Bloom said: “This is a fantastic achievement, we are absolutely delighted and honoured to showcase Congleton to the rest of Britain this year. We have gained a lot of knowledge and experience from our success in 2021, achieving ‘gold’ in the North West in Bloom competition and scooping the overall winner award for the ‘Best Large Town’. We will seek to build on this foundation and work hard to make Congleton look fabulous in the national finals.”
He continues: “The community in Congleton is brilliant. The dedication, commitment and passion from all our volunteers is second to none. The door is always open for more people to join the friendly In Bloom team – it’s going to be a busy year ahead!”
