A 22-year-old man has been jailed after being found guilty of assaulting a woman.
Kelvin Palin, of HMP Fosse Way, appeared at Crewe Magistrates for a trial on 29th October after pleading not guilty to two counts of assault by beating.
He was found guilty and sentenced to eight weeks in prison on top of the sentence he is currently serving for another violent offence.
The assaults occurred at an address in Crewe in 2023.
PC Ryan Foster said:
“Palin’s 41 month sentence for intentional strangulation , which he was found guilty of in April this year has now been lengthened after further offences were reported.
“I hope his time behind bars will curb his violent behaviour towards other people. It’s shocking behaviour which we will do all we can to bring before the courts to seek justice for victims.”
