A total of four men have now been charged in relation to a serious altercation in Crewe.
The charges all relate to an incident which occurred near to the junction of Brookhouse Drive and Davenport Avenue, Crewe, at around 6.40pm on Sunday 13 August.
Richard Wharton, of no fixed abode, was charged with section 18 assault (wounding with intent) and violent disorder. The 44-year-old appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 16 August.
Nathan Thomas, 36, of Wingate Road, Worsley, was charged with violent disorder and section 18 assault. Nigel Dunne, 45, of Remer Street, Crewe, was charged with violent disorder. Both appeared at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Saturday 19 August.
Christopher Rawlings, 44, of Willow Crescent, Wistaston, was charged with possession of a bladed article and violent disorder and appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Monday 21 August.
All four men are next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday 13 September.
The Raven pub near to the location where this incident took place is not involved in this incident in any way.
A 44-year-old man who sustained serious injuries has since been released from hospital. Following enquiries, the man has also been charged in connection with the altercation.
