The A556 Chester Road remains closed eastbound this morning (Friday 31th January) following an industrial incident in Sandiway.
The closure, between Norley Road (The Round tower) and Whitegate Lane is expected to remain in place until at least midday today.
The eastbound carriageway is closed to both motorists and pedestrians.
At 8.55am on Thursday 30th January police were called to reports that a man had fallen from a tree on the A556, Chester Road, Northwich.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and the man was taken to the Salford Royal Hospital. His condition is currently described as critical but stable.
