Sci-fi Film Season

- Jodrell presents its first Sci-fi film screenings in the Dome. From The Matrix, Moon, and The Martian, settle in for an incredible showcase of the best sci-fi in Cheshire! With over 15 showings including Blade Runner and Wall-E, we have something for everyone.

February Half Term at Jodrell Bank
- 15th – 23rd February 2025
- Ignite curiosity this half term with a week of wonder! Featuring new science show ‘Magic vs Science’, free site trail ‘Star Hunter’, space crafts and TED is back for pre-schoolers in the space dome! Unleash your inner scientist this February half-term.
Dome Show: Ted’s Space Adventure

- Join Ted and Plant for an enchanting journey through the Solar System in the Space Dome! Packed with music, rhyme and interactive fun, Ted’s Space Adventure is the perfect way to inspire little explorers age 3-7yrs.
New Exhibition: Astronomy Photographer of the Year
- On Now – 27th April
- Astronomy Photographer of the Year showcases the world’s award-winning space photography, including spectacular starscapes to awe-inspiring images of distant planets and galaxies. See this year’s best entries at Jodrell Bank and marvel at the beauty of the night sky.
Dome Show: The Great Solar System Adventure!

- The Space Dome is transformed in this journey to the stars! A new immersive adventure, prepare to be amazed as you learn about the wonders of our Solar System. More dome shows available on weekdays.
Relaxed Openings
- 1st Sunday of each month. 5th January & 2nd February 2025
- 10am – 11am
- With reduced noise and light levels, a relaxed screening of ‘The Story of Jodrell Bank’, and a designated Quiet Space, this is a calmer start to the morning for anyone who might appreciate it.

Founded in 1945, Jodrell Bank’s inspirational story includes revolutionary scientific discoveries, amazing feats of engineering, the dawn of the Space Age and the creation of the Grade I listed Lovell Telescope, an icon for British science and engineering. The site is proudly owned by The University of Manchester and is part of The Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics a world-leading science research institute, and The Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement, a multi award-winning centre for excellence in public participation and engagement with science, culture and heritage.
