Knutsford Market Hall’s Jonty’s Fruit and Veg and loyal customers Nicola and Patrick Morris have both been honoured in the National Association of British Market Authorities’ (NABMA) annual, national Market Hero Awards 2021.
Jonty’s Fruit and Veg were highly commended in the Market Trader category. Jonty Page, said, “I was really surprised to hear we had been highly commended. It is a real vote of confidence for our stall and I cannot thank the team enough. Jane, Jackie and Georgia have really gone above and beyond to serve the folk of Knutsford during the pandemic. Thank you, team and thank you NABMA!”
Nicola Morris and Patrick Humphreys were entered in the Friends of the Market category. Both are extremely loyal and vocal supporters of the market, tweeting almost weekly praising the stalls, the customer service and quality of the produce. Nicola Morris, said, “We had no idea there was such a competition let alone be entered. We love visiting the market, chatting to the stall holders and stocking up. When we visit it doesn’t feel like shopping, it feels like chatting to friends”.
Sandra Curties, Town Centre and Marketing Officer, said, “We are really pleased to have received two highly commended certificates for Knutsford’s market. It is a real vote of confidence for our all traders and we urge anyone who hasn’t visited us to give us a try.”
Knutsford Market is open every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. During lockdown the essential traders remain open – Jonty’s Fruit and Veg, The Market Butcher, Household and Pet and Morgan Edwards Fine Wines and Spirits. Other traders can be contacted via www.knutsfordmarket.co.uk.
