Knutsford Music Festival

Music lovers don’t have long to wait as the fourth year of Knutsford Music Festival is only one week away!

The festival is back for its fourth year from 13th – 15th August after a forced break in 2020. Organisers of the festival from Knutsford Town Council have worked with Cheshire East Council and Public Health England to ensure that the event could safely proceed in 2021.

There will be music for everyone’s taste as the event features headline folk events presented by BBC Radio presenter Mark Radcliffe, as he hosts the crème of the crop of the folk world in two nights of sensational music on 13th and 14th August at St Johns Church. Limited tickets for these events remain.

The Moor will boast two days of entertainment as Music on the Moor returns on 14th August for four hours of music, entertainment, activities for all ages and refreshments. Local residents are invited to attend for free and bring their picnic blankets and settle in for an afternoon of fun in the sun.

City of Chester Brass will entertain you on Sunday 15th August as they bring summery brass music to the Moor from 1-2pm.

You can also enjoy free performances around the town centre all weekend, where local talent will keep you entertained as you eat and shop. Performances can be found on King Street (opposite the Botanist), Regent Street and Cotton Shop Yard on Saturday and Sunday.

The fringe festival also returns with events from many of our local businesses including Wine and Wallop, Cheshire House Bar and Grill, The Old Sessions House and Kuckoo, plus a pre-festival event at Knutsford Library on Thursday 12th August (tickets are required for this event which can be purchased from the Library directly).

Alex Brown, Events Officer at Knutsford Town Council, said: “The official gig guide is up on our website and also available in person at many businesses and destinations across Knutsford! The guide has full info of everything happening during the weekend so make sure to check it out if you’re coming to enjoy the festival. It also has a handy map to help you find your way around!

We’re really excited for the festival to come back as it’s been a long awaited return since 2019 and we’re thrilled it’s nearly here. A lot of work has gone into the event by everyone involved, so please consider supporting the festival and your local businesses by coming to the festival between 13th-15th August.”
