A local marketing and public relations firm, Calvin Marketing, is embarking on a series of fundraising and awareness activities across the month of November to celebrate its 25th year in business. Calvin’s ‘25 miles for 25 years’ will raise money for local charity, the East Cheshire Hospice.
The firm, which is based in Lower Withington, was launched in 1995 by director, Diana Stephenson. Over its 25-year existence, Calvin’s team of marketing professionals have worked alongside a whole host of clients, varying from vets to architects, home carers to professional swimmers.
All seven of the team will do their share of travelling 25 miles around the Cheshire countryside, each in their own unique style. They’ll be doing everything from running, cycling and horse-riding, to golfing and even travelling backwards to complete their individual 3.6 miles.
Diana commented: “Our fundraising and activities throughout November are a bit of fun which can help entertain those who follow us, whilst raising money for a great, local charity which is close to our hearts. We love working in Cheshire and are always looking to support local businesses however we can.”
The firm will also share their memories of the past 25 years across social media, celebrating Calvin’s heritage and reminiscing on how the industry worked years ago, from using brick mobile phones with 30cm antennas, to posting out press releases with 6x4 photographs!
