A man has now been charged in relation to a number of incidents in the Crewe and Nantwich area.
Steven Hilditch, of HMP Hindley, has been charged with five counts of attempted burglary of a dwelling, one count of attempted burglary other than a dwelling, six counts of vehicle interference and one count of theft of a pedal cycle.
The 34-year-old will appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 20th November.
The charges relate to reports of incidents in the Crewe and Nantwich areas throughout June 2025.
Police received reports of a number of attempted burglaries, vehicle interferences and the theft of a pedal cycle which are all believed to have occurred during the early hours of Saturday 28th June.
These include:
- Two attempted burglaries at addresses in Meadowvale Close, Nantwich
- Two incidents of vehicle interference at addresses in Meadowvale Close, Nantwich
- Theft of a pedal cycle from outside an address in Manor Road North, Nantwich
- Attempted burglary at an address in Mercer Way, Nantwich
- Attempted burglary at an address in Vauxhall Place, Nantwich
