Detectives have charged a man with a number of offences following a domestic incident at an address in Northwich.
At around 9.20pm on Saturday 17 September police were called to reports that a woman from Northwich had been assaulted and sustained serious injuries.
Officers attended at Leighton Hospital and spoke with a woman who was receiving treatment there.
A 37-year-old man was subsequently arrested in relation to the incident.
Nathan Wyche has since been charged with criminal damage, false imprisonment, grievous bodily harm, threats to kill and assault by beating.
Wyche, of Canton Place, Northwich, appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Tuesday 20 September where he was remanded in custody.
He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday 18 October.
