A man who tried to break into a garage in Prestbury has been arrested following a search by the Constabulary’s Roads and Crime Unit.
Police were called to an address in Castleford Drive in Prestbury in the early hours of Monday 3rd November following reports of a person trying to gain entry to the garage.
The suspect fled and following a search of the area, officers located a car parked up on Prestbury Road.
They searched the driver and the car and arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary, going equipped for burglary, possession of a Class A drug (cocaine) and drug driving.
He has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
