Member of Parliament for Eddisbury, Edward Timpson met with staff and patients at the newly-opened Spire Health Clinic in Tarporley.
The new clinic is located within a purpose-built gym centre in the heart of the village.
The Member of Parliament viewed the impressive facilities available to treat patients with disabilities or orthopaedic conditions.
Hospital Director at Spire Cheshire Hospital, Ben White, introduced Mr Timpson to the benefits the new Tarporley Clinic brings to residents, such as enabling patients in rural Cheshire to access high-quality expert elective medical advice in a relaxing and calm environment.
Spire Healthcare Hospital Director, Ben White, said:
“It was a pleasure to welcome Mr Timpson to the new clinic and inform him of the fantastic services we offer.
“The clinic has started off with orthopaedic, men’s health, colorectal and gastroenterological consultants practising, and will expand the range of services in the coming weeks and months.
“The clinic helps to relieve pressure on NHS waiting lists, and responds to the high demand from patients who wish to access to consultant-led care privately.”
Edward Timpson CBE, Member of Parliament for Eddisbury, commented:
“I would like to thank Spire Healthcare staff for taking the time to show me their new clinic in Tarporley.
“The work carried out by health workers in facilities such as this helps to ensure people are able to live full and rewarding lives.
“Tarporley is very quickly becoming a hub of high-quality healthcare in both the public and private sectors—not only with the opening of this new clinic, but also with the settlement securing the future of the Tarporley War Memorial Hospital and the rural outreach services that will provide.”
Dr Subramanian Ramakrishnan, Consultant Gastroenterologist—who met with Mr Timpson during his visit —praised the new clinic:
“The new clinic offers a more informal ambience than traditional hospital settings, and I have noticed that my patients have felt more relaxed and comfortable.
“The clinic also enables me to access to a larger number of patients in a more convenient location for them.”
