Detectives from Northwich have charged a man following reports of a serious assault in the town.
On Saturday 11 November, police were made aware that a man had been assaulted at a pub in Crown Street in the early hours of that day.
The victim, a 28-year-old man, sustained a fractured jaw as a result of the incident.
Following enquiries officers arrested local man in relation to the incident.
Callum Finlay, of Golden Nook Road, Cuddington, Northwich, has since been charged with section 20 assault.
The 23-year-old has also been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine), two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine), possession of class A drugs (cocaine) and possession of Class B drugs (ketamine).
Finlay appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13 November where he was remanded in custody.
He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 11 December.
