Police are appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop collision on the A559 Chester Road in Hartford.
At 10.12pm on 26 December a Ford Focus and a Mercedes AMG 35 were in collision.
The person driving the Mercedes fled the scene leaving the driver of the Ford Focus seriously injured at the scene.
The driver of the Ford Focus, a 43-year-old local man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Officers are making a number of enquiries to locate the driver.
PC Jon Dixon said: “I’d urge anyone who witnessed the collision but has not yet spoken to police to contact us. That includes if you have dash cam footage that may have captured anything that may help us with our investigation.”
