Police officers are appealing to trace a key witness following reports of dangerous driving in Wilmslow.
At around 4.45pm on Sunday 10th May, officers on patrol on Church Street were flagged down by an unknown man who reported that his daughter had been involved in a near miss with a white BMW.
The man informed officers that the driver popped her tyre on the kerb before driving off from the scene and into Carrs Park.
Officers immediately left the scene to search for the vehicle, which was subsequently located Carrs Park and the driver, a 45-year-old woman from Bredbury, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, she has since been released under investigation.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers are keen to trace the man who flagged down officers on Church Street, as he may hold vital information.
They are also keen to hear from anyone else with any information in relation to the incident.
