Police are appealing for a man who intervened in an assault on a woman in Macclesfield to get in touch.
At 7am on Wednesday 2 March a woman was assaulted in Cedar Grove by man. A member of the public is believed to have challenged the suspect and then left the area.
As part of the investigation a 21-year-old man has been arrested.
DI Duncan Gouck said: “I’d urge this man to come forward and help us with our enquiries. I’d like to reassure him that he has done nothing wrong – we just need to get as much information as possible for our enquiries. I’d also appeal to anyone who saw a woman being assaulted in Cedar Grove that morning to contact us – that includes anyone with dash cam footage, or CCTV or doorbell cameras that may have picked up the incident.”
