Officers are urging the victim of a robbery in Macclesfield to come forward.
On Monday 17th August 2026, police received reports of a robbery on Byron Street in Macclesfield, from a witness.
Footage showed that at 11.56am, the male victim was carrying a green suitcase when he was assaulted by a male suspect.
The suspect then stole the suitcase and fled the scene after entering a white VW Tiguan which had pulled up at the roadside. The vehicle turned around and headed in the direction of Cross Street.
The victim is described as a white man and was wearing dark grey/navy shorts, t-shirt and shoes, and has multiple tattoos.
Two people have since been arrested in relation to the incident after the Tiguan vehicle was located in Wythenshawe.
A 37-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of robbery. They remain in police custody at this time.
Detective Sergeant Tiffany Berry-Perkin said:
“We have not yet had contact from the victim of this incident, and we would like to speak to them to ensure they are OK and check on their welfare.
“We would urge them, and anyone who may have any other information about what happened, to please get in touch with us.
“A number of arrests have been made and we would like to make contact with the victim as our enquiries into the incident continue.
