Taylor Wimpey donation helps stock Crewe community pantry

Taylor Wimpey North West has donated £400 worth of food and essential items to Chance Changing Lives, a Crewe-based charity, helping people facing financial hardship across the local area.

The contribution included a range of food, household products and baby essentials, which were delivered to the charity’s community pantry in Crewe.

The donation forms part of a national initiative by Taylor Wimpey to support food banks and organisations working to alleviate food poverty, particularly during the school holidays, when many services experience increased demand.

Founded in 2017, Chance Changing Lives is supported by a dedicated team of volunteers and provides practical support, trusted advice and a safe space for individuals and families across Crewe. Its services include a community pantry and The Saturday Kitchen. In July alone, the service supported 658 people across the local community.

Taylor Wimpey Sales Executive Emily, from the nearby Millbrook Place development, visited the charity’s Crewe base to present the donation, meet the team and learn more about their day-to-day operations.

Reflecting on the visit, Emily said: “The visit gave me a real appreciation of what goes into running a community pantry. It was wonderful to meet the team and see first hand the care and dedication they bring to supporting the community.”

Nadine Lewis, Community Engagement Manager at Chance Changing Lives, said:

“We are incredibly grateful for Taylor Wimpey’s generosity.

“Donations such as this make a real difference to the individuals and families we support. With many people continuing to face financial pressures, this donation will help us continue providing affordable food, essential items and wider support services to those who need them most. It truly means a great deal to us and to the people who access our services.”

Amy Bold, Marketing Manager at Taylor Wimpey North West, said:

“Chance Changing Lives makes a real difference to people in Crewe, and we’re proud to support the important work its team does.

“We know the school holidays can place added pressure on household budgets, so we hope our donation will support local people when they need it most.”
