The Macclesfield Book Festival, at Christ Church in the town, will take place every weekend, Saturday and Sunday, in February.
The Book Festival is for authors, poets, book sellers and artisans to come and sell their books, meet the public, recite poetry, etc.
A talk will take place on the 2nd February by David Tolliday about Charles Tunnicliffe, Macclesfield's most famous artist.
There will be music from organ recitals (on our 1865 organ), choirs, to a gentleman who plays the digeridoo.
Christ Church is a Grade Two listed building and is a redundant church, meaning that it is still consecrated but there have been no services there since 1984.
It was built in a matter of months (and it is a very big building), in 1775, which makes this year its 250th Anniversary.
