Willington Hall Hotel is celebrating a fantastic summer of events, celebrations and new experiences, as the historic Cheshire country house hotel prepares for an equally exciting autumn and festive season.

Set within beautiful Cheshire countryside near Tarporley, Willington Hall has welcomed familiar faces and new visitors throughout the summer, with everything from weddings and family celebrations to classic cars, food, wine and even a little bit of television.

The hotel’s Classic Car Club has proved a great success, bringing together classic car owners, enthusiasts and petrol heads for relaxed gatherings in the grounds. Guests can enjoy a drive out through the Cheshire countryside, admire a fantastic collection of cars, catch up over coffee and make the most of Willington Hall’s beautiful setting.

Food and friendship have also been firmly on the menu with the hotel’s Pudding Club, a relaxed foodie gathering open to anyone who enjoys great food, good wine and even better company. The events are part of a growing programme designed to give local people more reasons to enjoy Willington Hall, whether staying overnight or simply popping in for an event, meal or drink.

It has also been a particularly exciting summer behind the scenes, with Willington Hall welcoming the team from BBC’s Escape to the Country for filming, putting the hotel and its stunning Cheshire surroundings in the national spotlight.

Weddings remain at the heart of Willington Hall, and following the unexpected availability of a small number of dates, the hotel is currently offering an exceptional-value wedding package for selected dates between September 2026 and April 2027.

Designed to make a beautiful country house wedding more accessible, the special package is available for celebrations of around 50 guests and offers couples the opportunity to enjoy the character, grounds and personal service of Willington Hall at a particularly attractive price.

The team is preparing to unveil its Christmas 2026 programme, including festive celebrations and a very special house party experience giving guests the chance to enjoy the feeling of having Willington Hall as their own country house for Christmas.

The hotel is also looking forward to revealing details of an exciting new association with one of the world’s most prestigious Champagne houses.

The forthcoming collaboration brings together two names with a shared appreciation of heritage, quality, celebration and timeless style, and will add another special dimension to weddings, events and occasions at Willington Hall. Full details will be announced shortly.

For the team at Willington Hall, however, one of the highlights of the summer has simply been seeing people return.

Guests who may not have visited for many years have rediscovered the hotel for birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, weddings, family gatherings and special occasions, alongside a new generation discovering Willington Hall for the first time.
