Detectives from Northwich CID have charged a woman following an armed robbery at a convenience store in Winsford.
At around 10.30pm on Thursday 18 August, police were called to reports of a robbery at the Spar Store (Shell Petrol Station) on Delamere Street.
Following enquiries, a local woman was arrested on Saturday 20 August in relation to the incident.
Angela Hughes, of Pentland Close, Winsford, has since been charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.
The 45-year-old has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Monday 22 August.
