Cheshire East Council is proud to announce the one-year anniversary of a groundbreaking new lifestyle prescription designed to empower residents to take control of their health and well-being.
This innovative online resource provides guidance and support for individuals seeking to improve their diet, exercise habits, and overall lifestyle.
Developed in collaboration with the NHS and local healthcare providers, Your Lifestyle Prescription is available online or to download and encourages small, sustainable changes. It also helps users achieve their health goals effectively so they can enjoy a better quality and healthier way of life.
Key features of the Your Lifestyle Prescription resource are:
- Putting you in control of your lifestyle changes
- By having ‘Your Lifestyle Prescription’ it may reduce the need for treatment and stop you having health problems in the future
- Even small changes can lead to big benefits for you and your family.
Councillor Jill Rhodes, chair of Cheshire East Council’s adults and health committee, said:
“We are thrilled to introduce this cutting-edge resource that has the potential to transform the health and well-being of our residents.
“By providing accessible support, we aim to empower people to make informed choices and lead healthier lives.”
Dr Lalit Gurnani at Nantwich Health Centre, said:
“I strongly believe that lifestyle changes are an integral element of self-care for all of us, and especially important for those living with significant long-term conditions.
“It is imperative that we champion these simple elements in primary care as an adjunct to healthcare intervention, advising our patient populations to make the most of the services extended to us locally, for optimum health outcomes.”
