With a cost-of-living crisis in the UK, everyone is making changes to their lives to accommodate. Eight-in-ten Brits (81%) are looking to limit their spending in some way over the next 12 months. From postponing spending on new clothes (57%), holidays (52%) and entertainment e.g., festivals (48%); even important home improvements (44%), new cars (34%) and new houses (25%) are being pushed back. These cuts have also made us realise that we don’t want to waste time on things we don’t actually value. Research commissioned by Microsoft Surface has revealed that we spend 67 hours a week doing things we consider valuable versus 24 hours doing things we consider a waste of time, and don’t enjoy.
