Purpose
To provide a safe, supportive, and stigma-free environment where dads can come together to talk openly, share experiences, and support one another through the unique challenges of fatherhood and modern life.
Mission Statement
To create a supportive space where fathers can talk openly, share stories, and connect with like-minded men — breaking down isolation and promoting mental wellbeing, one conversation at a time.
To normalise open conversations about men’s mental health, build stronger communities and ensure that no dad ever feels alone in his struggles — locally and, in time, nationwide.
The Origin Story
Davenham Dads Club started from a single act of care — one dad noticing another struggling and deciding to act.
What began as a casual “chat over a pint” turned into a gathering of 40 men, proving the need for connection among fathers.
From that first meeting, the club has grown into a community hub where men of all ages (22–67) meet regularly to share, socialise, and support one another.
The format is deliberately casual — pub nights, quiz evenings, pizza socials — designed to help men open up without pressure.
This grassroots, human origin is at the heart of the brand: real dads, real talk, real community.
The Problem
Despite being vital to families and society, dads often struggle silently.
Many face:
● Isolation after becoming fathers
● The loss of brotherhood and belonging once found in team sports or work
● Mental health challenges and burnout
● Financial stress and debt, often hidden from loved ones. Society provides few safe spaces for men to be vulnerable — and even fewer where they feel truly understood.
The Solution
A Club That Feels Like Mates, Not Therapy.
Davenham Dads Club offers a casual, stigma-free environment where support happens naturally — over a pint, a laugh, or a shared story.
Core Offer
● Safe Spaces: Confidential one-to-one support with trained volunteers (including a GP, life coach, meditation expert, and employability coach).
● Community Nights: Themed gatherings (pizza, quiz, BBQ, darts) in relaxed venues like pubs and clubs — informal but intentional.
● Specialist Groups: Dedicated subgroups, such as for dads of neurodiverse children.
● Partnerships: Collaborations with trusted professionals and organisations (e.g., debt support from Scott Warren’s charity).
