Officers are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a fire at a disused building in Northwich.
At around 6.30am on Wednesday 27 November police were called to reports of a fire at Leftwich Green Community Support Centre on Old Hall Road.
On arrival officers found that the building was well alight. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, however, the incident has caused extensive damage to the building.
Enquiries in relation to the cause of the fire are ongoing and an investigation has been launched.
Inspector Dave Levins of Northwich said:
“This investigation is in the early stages and we’re doing everything that we can to establish what took place.
“Therefore, we’re urging anyone was in the area at the time and thinks they may have seen anything suspicious to get in touch.
“The same goes for anyone with any dashcam or CCTV footage which may aid our investigation.”
