Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a robbery in Northwich.
At around 8.35pm on Saturday 10th October, a 14-year-old boy was walking on the Jubilee Field with his e-bike, when he noticed two unknown youths in front of him who were wearing balaclavas.
As the teenager approached the pair, they turned around and threatened him, before stealing the bike. The pair then made off with the bike, into the woodlands at the top of Jubilee Fields, towards Violet Grove.
The stolen bike was a grey Trek e-mountain bike, which had a bent peg and a slight rip in the battery cover.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information or footage which may aid the investigation.
Detective Constable Kev Reade, of Northwich CID, said:
“While the victim was not injured, he was left shaken as a result of his ordeal and his e-bike remains outstanding.
“As part of our investigation, we’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything suspicious.
“We’re also asking residents in the local area to check their CCTV systems to see if they have any footage of the suspects. This includes residents on Rosemary Drive, Buttercup Crescent, Violet Grove, Dahlia Crescent , Imperial Avenue, Jubilee Crescent and Burnside Way.
