Detectives investigating a serious collision in Congleton are appealing for witnesses and video footage.
At 10.50am on Saturday 17th May, police were called to reports of a collision on West Road, Congleton.
Officers attended the scene and found there had been a collision between a 91-year-old woman and a black Audi A3.
The woman sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Audi, a 49-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. He has since been released under investigation.
Officers are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have any dashcam or CCTV footage at the location, around this time; to get in touch so they can better understand the circumstances of the moments that led up to the collision occurring.
Detective Sergeant Simon Degg, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened or has any other information in relation to the incident to come forward.
“The same goes for anyone who may have any relevant CCTV, dashcam, or video doorbell footage that may aid our investigation."
