“I would like to praise the victim for her strength in coming forward and informing police at the earliest opportunity.
“Patrols have been stepped up in the area and I would ask anyone who has any concerns to approach an officer.
“We have a number of lines of enquiry ongoing and as part of these I am keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident and has seen something which didn’t look quite right.
“The same goes to anyone who may have footage, dashcam or CCTV, in the area that they may not have provided to officers yet to please do so.
